For fourteen years, Mr. Kazem’s legal practice focused on construction law, government contracts, and commercial litigation. During this time, he gained extensive experience assisting businesses with risk management, claims avoidance, and dispute resolution. He also drafted and reviewed contracts, purchase orders and related contract documents and counseled clients on contract interpretation, documentation, claim preparation and defenses. Mr. Kazem was selected as a Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star in construction law from 2005-2006 and 2009 through 2014.
Outside of client representation, Mr. Kazem has presented at educational seminars on various topics including contract formation and interpretation, risk shifting clauses, and project documentation. He also published newsletter articles explaining the impact of new laws, regulations or judicial decisions relevant to his practice area.
Mr. Kazem is originally from Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He received his B.S., magna cum laude, in Finance with a concentration in International Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University. After college, he attended law school and business school at Emory University, where he earned his J.D. and M.B.A. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
